Your Teeth During the National COVID-19 Emergency
A letter from Dr. Mike and Sharon
How To Receive Dental Care
During this COVID-19 State of Emergency we thought we would share our recommendations for oral health, and inform people about how to receive dental care. The Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association have provided recommendations that patients and dentists all must follow in order to control the spread of the virus.
Dental Offices including Dr. Michael Kubiniec DDS will be closed to any and all elective dental care. This includes treatments such as cleanings, screening x-rays, decayed teeth with no symptoms, replacing missing teeth with dentures or implants, and cosmetic dentistry procedures. Basically, if you are not in pain then it can wait.
Patients with emergency dental pain should CALL our office first in order to determine how and where dental care can be given. At the office of Dr. Michael Kubiniec we can only provide emergency dental care to asymptomatic patients who are not under quarantine. Call us at 585-343-5865 anytime.
Patients with non-emergency dental questions can CALL our office and we will consult with you vitually using Teledentistry. We will walk you through it!
Patients who have the virus, or are under quarantine because of exposure to the virus, who have dental pain should CALL our office first. We may refer you to the following resources depending on your situation:
The dental clinic at ECMC in Buffalo: (716) 898-3189, or
Rochester’s Eastman Dental Clinic in Strong Hospital: (585) 273-2465.
Prevention Tips
While we all stay at home Dr. Mike can’t help but point out that we all have more time for prevention:
Remember the Rule of Twos: Brush your teeth for TWO minutes with TOOthbrush and TOOthpaste. Floss TWO times a day between every TWO teeth.
To slow the spread of the virus, remember to wash off the toothbrush and the toothpaste tube. Use whatever soap you use for your hands or dish soap. Rinse well.
We Will Answer Your Call
We can answer our office phone while staying at home, so please feel free to call Dr. Kubiniec if you have any dental questions. If we do not answer then just leave a message and we will get right back to you.
Sincerely,
Michael and Sharon Kubiniec
