CEREC Same Day Crowns

About Crowns

A dental crown will fully encapsulate a damaged tooth, providing a whole new chewing surface. A dental crown may be used:

  • To restore strength to a broken tooth

  • To repair a tooth that has been extensively damaged

  • To replace a large filling that has fractured or needs to be removed

  • To restore a tooth after root canal therapy

  • To top a dental implant

  • As a part of a fixed dental bridge

In our office, we offer CEREC crowns, inlays, and onlays to our patients with the main benefit that restorations are completed in a single visit rather than two. This process eliminates the need for goopy dental impressions and temporary crowns, as well as multiple visits to our office.

The dental crowns made today are stronger than natural teeth, long lasting, and complementary to a beautiful smile.

About Bridges

Fixed partial dentures (“bridges”) have been used for decades for the restoration of a healthy smile. This type of denture is a custom-made prosthetic that is permanently cemented onto or into your healthy teeth, and spans the gap left by a missing tooth.

To maintain a beautiful appearance and a healthy smile, replacing a missing tooth promptly is critical. When your smile is missing one or more teeth, your ability to chew and talk normally decreases. Over time, permanent changes can occur to your other teeth, your jaw bone, and the shape of your face.

The result of the treatment is restored function and a beautiful smile that looks completely natural with no metal showing. In fact, bridges are now made of special dental porcelains which are strong and closely resemble natural enamel.

Aside from a custom bridge, other options include a removable bridge (or partial denture) or a dental implant. Call or make an appointment to learn more about your options for replacing a missing tooth.
